Venue

The review meeting will be held at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Turku. The building hosting the department is called Quantum, and the rooms reserved for the meeting are in the third floor of the building. The building is marked by T7 and the red oval in the Campus map below. (Interactive version without the added annotations is available here.) The walk from the Cathedral to the campus, marked with black dashed line, is very nice and takes about 10 minutes, only. Note that the last part of the walk (from Kerttulinkatu, marked by the orange star ★) is not along a street but along a walking pathway. The total walking time from the hotels in city centre is about 20 minutes.

In case you prefer to take a bus from the centre, several lines (2, 2A, 6, 32A, 50–55, 55A, 56, and 60) serve the bus stop (marked in the map with blue B) closest to the venue, at Hämeenkatu 2. The blue dashed line indicates the short route to the Venue from the bus stop.

Mark “Kauppatori” (Market place) in the upper textbox and “115 - Yliopisto” (115 - University) in the lower one and press “Search” to get the timetables and directions on a map. The bus ride takes 4 minutes, only. An example query is and its result is given below. Note that you can zoom in into the map to find out the appropriate bus stop at the Market place to get into the bus, but a large map of the bus stops at the Market place is also provided here. The timetables for May have not yet been released, so please visit the site closer to the meeting to printout some convenient connections for the mornings of the meeting days.
